La verdad es que la miner\u00eda de datos es un proceso riguroso pero cotidiano en la investigaci\u00f3n de cualquier tipo.<\/p>\n<p>Si bien, la miner\u00eda de datos y el <em>Knowledge Discovery<\/em>\u00a0 en bases de datos (KDD por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) se tratan con frecuencia como sin\u00f3nimos, son t\u00e9rminos dis\u00edmiles pero complementarios.<\/p>\n<p>El objetivo com\u00fan de la miner\u00eda de datos y del <em>Knowledge Discovery<\/em>\u00a0 es derivar expresiones de caracter\u00edsticas comunes, de un conjunto de datos<\/p>\n<p>La\u00a0miner\u00eda de datos\u00a0es el proceso de b\u00fasqueda de \u00a0informaci\u00f3n entre una gran cantidad de datos y es en ella que ocurre la <span style=\"color: #ffbf00;\"><strong>etapa de identificaci\u00f3n de las variables que ser\u00e1n analizadas en el proceso de KDD.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Por otro lado, el descubrimiento de conocimiento a partir de bases de datos (KDD- <em>Knowledge Discovery in Databases)<\/em> <span style=\"color: #ffbf00;\"><strong>es el proceso de extracci\u00f3n y an\u00e1lisis de informaci\u00f3n, previamente desconocida y potencialmente \u00fatil.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #9b0707;\">\u00bfC\u00f3mo se usa la miner\u00eda de datos y el KKD?<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Se utilizan varios algoritmos y t\u00e9cnicas\u00a0 para el proceso de miner\u00eda de datos y su posterior an\u00e1lisis, dentro de estas se encuentran:<\/p>\n<p>clasificaci\u00f3n, <em>cluster<\/em> o agrupaci\u00f3n, regresi\u00f3n, reglas de asociaci\u00f3n, \u00e1rboles de decisi\u00f3n, entre otras.<\/p>\n<p>Con la enorme cantidad de datos almacenados en archivos, bases de datos y otros repositorios, es cada vez m\u00e1s importante, si no necesario, desarrollar medios poderosos para el an\u00e1lisis y t\u00e9cnicas que faciliten la interpretaci\u00f3n de esta informaci\u00f3n y la extracci\u00f3n de conocimiento.
